1. Social Security Number IS Required to Obtain a Virginia Identification Card or Driver’s License.  Applicants that use false or fraudulent Social Security numbers are prosecuted.
2. Legal Presence IS Required to Apply for a Virginia Identification or Driver’s License.  Applicants will be required to prove legal status in the United States before obtaining a State of Virginia issued document.
