Attorneys Matthew and Maria Glinsmann concentrate in the area of U.S.
Immigration Law.
Both Glinsmanns were born and raised in the suburbs of
Washington, DC in Garrett Park, Maryland. Matthew and Maria
are both proud Maryland "Terps" having been awarded
undergraduate degrees from the University of Maryland,
College Park, Maryland. Maria completed her Juris Doctor from
Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC, USA.
Matthew completed his Juris Doctor from the University of
Maryland Law School in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Both Matthew
and Maria are licensed to practice law in Maryland. Ms. Glinsmann is
also admitted to practice as an attorney in the District of Columbia
and the U.S. Supreme Court. It is fitting that the Glinsmanns
have established their practice in Gaithersburg, Maryland
conveniently accessible from I-270, the MARC train and a short ride
from the Shady Grove Metro on the Metro Red Line.
Both Matthew and Maria Glinsmann are members of several legal and
professional organizations. Matthew is active in the American Immigration
Lawyers Association (AILA). Matthew served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Washington D.C. Chapter of AILA
culminating in his holding the position of Chapter Chair from
2005-2006.
Prior to being elected Chapter Chair, he fulfilled several liaison committee
roles AILA. He continues to be a leader in the organization,
currently serving on the Liaison Committee for the USCIS National
Benefits Center. Additionally, Matthew was recently appointed to be
the Immigration Section Chair for the Montgomery County Bar
Association. Maria held the position of Immigration Section
Chair for the Montgomery County Bar Association from 2000-2001 and
was recognized with the Award of Outstanding Section Chair for her
service to the Bar.
Both Glinsmanns are regularly invited to present papers and speak on various complex immigration law
issues
before AILA and other national and the American Legal Institute for the
American Bar Association. The Glinsmanns often travel to
liaise with officials of U.S.
consulates as well as the different USCIS offices including service centers
and district offices in the U.S. to
discuss policies and procedures. This enables us to better serve and
advocate for our
clients.
Both Matthew and Maria Glinsmann have been awarded the AV rating
from
Martindale-Hubbell.
This prestigious award, the highest rating for lawyers, represents a
measure of esteem for which attorneys strive. It recognizes the
